Doctors

November 17, 2009

Today I went and saw a nose and throat specialist for Jack. The nurse Debbie who works at my pediatrician was checking on him and said that his adenoids where a bit swollen and she referred me to a specialist that was about two weeks ago. So we go to see the specialist who is located on Dobson and Southern and the guy checked Jack's ears and nose and throat and said that everything looks ok. He has a lot of mucus and I know that because he has been having major runny nose and a lot of deep coughs. So then he has us go and take an x-ray of his nose but the place to take the x-ray is on broadway and power. I said forget it, I will schedule for thursday to go to that place. This is way too much driving for me. Next, I call his pediatrician and make an appointment because I think something is off with Jack, he hasn't been sleeping for the past two nights, he is really needy and super cranky. That same nurse Debbie sees us again and tells me that on his left ear he has a major ear infection on a scale from one to ten Jack is at an eight and on the left ear he has major fluid. For a moment I just wanted to go back to that specialist and just pop him one. What a today idiot! Why can't these Dr.'s all be on the same page. This is very irritating. So then I run to walgreens to get Jack's medication and I drop him off at my mom's. Following that I have to go to work for a three hour staff meeting in Chandler. By three oclock I am just utterly exhausted and I just want to pass out. But instead I go and buy Jack a basketball hoop so that this kid can stay inside but at least have something enjoyable to play with. This has official been a really long day. But I am super happy to know that something was wrong with Jack and now we can give him the proper medication to help him heal.
