Today we had to visit the ears nose and throat specialist. Two days before this date Jack went and saw Dr. Seiter his pediatrician to check and see if his ear infection had gone away. Unfortunately, his ears where still filled with fluid in both ears and his tonsils where pretty swollen. The ENT specialist checked Jack and said that for now we will start him on a nasal spray for 6 weeks that will help get rid of some of the fluids in his ears and if it doesn't and he gets another ear infections then he will need to get tubes into his ears. From what Jefferson has said it really hurts but since Jack is still a little guy maybe it won't phase him as bad as when Jefferson had his. All I have to say is that I really detest ear infections and dealing with them is such a nightmare and not just for me but the my little boy too.

so sad!!! I have to say tubes were the best decision we made. We've only had two infections in the past year since we did Bree's tubes, as opposed to the 7 or 8 we had before she got tubes. Good luck! Sure hope Jack gets feeling better soon!
poor jack! that does not sound fun at all. i hope the nasal spray works well and you guys can be done with all the ear infections!
Keep chuggin along Jack. . . I have to echo Jaclyn, the tubes were amazing for Noah. He's only had a couple since his tube insertion (Oct. 09) and they have been much less painful than before because everything just drained out. Of course we had to constantly wipe his ear/cheek clean but that's a small price to pay to have ear infections go away. Good luck!
