Dr. Visit

Today I took Jack to go and see Dr. Leavitt and come to find out Jack has ear infections in both ears and it looks pretty bad. On top of that he has this thing called croup which involves the inflammation of the upper airway that leads to a cough that sounds like a bark, particularly when a child is crying. The virus for this is called stridor. My poor little man. For the past two nights he hasn't slept well or anything and is just crying and screaming like crazy. I thought it was just him teething but little did I know. After a relief of finding out what he has the doctor prescribed me with amoxicillin and Tylenol with Codeine for the ear infection and pain. Plus Jack got a shot to help his airway open a little so that he can breath better. As for the virus the doctor told me that Jack just has to fight it off himself and that there is nothing really he could give us. That was the saddest thing to hear that I can't give him anything for this virus. I sure hate viruses and wish that they would just disappear. Grrrrr!
